2013 Week 34: My Wednesday Style Collective…..

Here we are continuing on with my style posts. I had an awesome style post lined up for last week, then low and behold Fraser decided last Tuesday he was making his entrance into the world. As a result of post baby haze I skipped last weeks style post altogether. But here I am and for the now style posts are all post baby style and how I can stay on track with maintaining my style and staying true whilst also having to accommodate breastfeeding my little guy on a frequent basis throughout the day. I have some funds stashed away at…

What’s in the hospital bag for Baby….

Following on from what’s in the hospital bag for this vintage loving mumma’s post, here’s today’s addition of what’s in baby’s hospital bag.I like to keep things simple, as natural as possible, comfy and basic. Everything you see here and everything you don’t see has either been used for my other children, gifted or thrifted. I don’t care what anyone says about having a baby it doesn’t have to or need to cost a fortune. First Up :: Hug a Bub wrap, I’m a baby wearer, I use different baby carriers and wraps to keep my babies close, comforted and to allow…

For me and my girls….

Posts aren’t often serious and extremely personal around here (sometimes they are but not often at all) but this one is. This past week has been one of the toughest emotionally I’ve had in quite some time in the lead up to my twin girls memorial day tomorrow. I put it down to life, being pregnant and being caught out unexpectedly by people’s comments and questioning of me this week. Tomorrow marks five years since we lost our sweet girls Elle and Meg halfway through our first pregnancy. I know some of you have read the full story of myself,…

SPECIAL Style Collective: Not to be missed weekend Style Post…..

I have been holding on for a chance to show off my first ever genuine 1950’s dress, that I bought last year the day that Celia and I worked together on the vintage styling event. I know every day should be a special day donning some vintage. But because this is such a sweet dress that I’m smitten with and because this is a late and special addition style post I thought I’d save it for a special post. She’s a beauty this dress and the great thing about many dresses of the 1950’s is they look utterly divine styled to the…

Notice to Op Shop Volunteers, I’m not a bad parent…..

If you’re an op shopping loving mumma like me I’m sure what I’m about to talk about, you’ll have either experienced and or have been witness to when out and about thrifting. If you’re a parent and you like to op shop, you might be much like me and often have your children with you when you visit stores. I have three children who are currently six years old and under, so it’s rare to have child free days to visit op shops. For the main part when op shopping with the kids we have a great time together. The…

Tie Dye Terry Towelling Cloth Nappies…..

I’ve often spoken about breastfeeding in posts and trying to work my vintage style around it. But what you may not know about us is that we also use cloth nappies full time. We mainly use Modern Cloth Nappies, but with it being summer it’s hard to pass up the good old terry square that has graced many of our own bottoms back in the day. I thought I’d show off these lovelies. As you know I love colour and I’m always up for something different. A dear mummy friend of mine tie dyed two dozen terry toweling nappies for…
