Why I love blogging around Christmas

Why I love blogging around Christmas

It’s official tomorrow is the 1st of December here in Australia. Which means it’s generally acceptable by most people to start talking about all things Christmas. Since I’m now allowed to say the “C” word I’m going to tell you all about why I love blogging around Christmas and what’s coming up here on the blog. First thing I want to share is this year I have had a lot of change and growth both personally and professionally. As a result I have not posted as frequently here on the blog. The only reason for this has been to give…

ProBlogger: Put Your Personality Out There

ProBlogger: Put Your Personality Out There

We are a week post ProBlogger Conference 2016, and there has now been time to reflect upon the moments and knowledge that was shared. This years event was outstanding! We are one week on and these words keep surfacing in my conscious thought: “You’re personality is the ultimate overarching theme. So put it out there.”   Such a great reminder from Emilie of Puttylike who is a successful online entrepreneur and believes you don’t need a niche to succeed in blogging. As a described multipotentialite, Emilie has proven that sharing her many different interests and creative pursuits to be her…

The Incredible Story of THINGS & Why I Blog…

The Incredible Story of THINGS & Why I Blog…

I can tell you the exact moment I became a writer. It was 1990 and I was standing in front of 150 other hopefuls, when I’d just been announced the winner of the Best Book Award from all of the grade seven students at my school. In that moment something happened and I knew, no matter what happened in life, I would always be able to write and have something to share. So as the story goes, life did happen. I did things. Saw things. Experienced things. Good things, bad things and I suffered heartbreaking things. The Thing On the…

The Doing, Creating & News of Late I Want to Share with You…..

I’ve been blogging for six years this year and whether you’ve connected with me here or way back in the early days on my original blog, you would know by now that I’m a dreamer, always with a plan in my heart to live my joyfully through my passions and interests. There has been a lot of good happening around these parts with me taking things offline for the last two months. I’ve enjoyed getting my passions aligned with my dreams away from the online buzz and to be in a position to come back and share what has been…

Improve Productivity &Throw Your To-Do List Out the Window & Try a What I Did Do List……

Coming into October of last year I was feeling frustrated with myself and what I wasn’t achieving regarding working on My Vintage Childhood and other projects. Somewhere in the mix of the everyday, taking care of the kids and the various things that involves, appointments and more I lost control over things. My to do lists where long and depressing! I have had a love hate relationship with to do lists over the years, where I’ve often get caught up and dragged down with the lengthy list of things that need attention. When juggling time to fit everything in, at…

Here’s to 2015, May There Be Sparks of Amazing in 2016…..

Well we are now in the afternoon countdown to New Years! We had a lovely morning out walking, scooting and playing along the Southport Broadwater, having icy cold treats and visiting my favourite second hand book shop and gaining some credit to spend in store and we’ve also run a bunch of errands. We haven’t treated today any different because it’s the last day of the year and tonight we are staying in and we will go with the flow as to how we see the new year in, there are bubbles in the fridge and tunes at the ready,…

Vintage & Thrifted Style From ProBlogger Conference……

In the days and weeks leading up to this years ProBlogger conference there was a lot of discussion about what people would be packing and wearing for the weekend. Of course there was no doubt, I would be wearing vintage and thrifted fashion. I had SO much fun this year with my outfits and as much as I love the way I dress (because it makes me happy), I certainly didn’t expect to make others happy over the weekend, but it’s nice to know that others got a smile out of and enjoyed my colourful and fun combinations. So here…

The Heart, Mind & Soul of ProBlogger Conference 2015….

There will undoubtedly be a stream of blog posts about this years ProBlogger Conference sharing the highlights and pearls of wisdom from all the wonderful speakers from this past weekend on the Gold Coast at the RACV Royal Pines resort. I’ve attempted three times now to start my piece and contribution to that stream of posts I’m talking about. I should say that I’m not one of those people or bloggers who can easily put into words the “learnings” from such an event with inspirational pictures and make others feel that they were there too. The thing is, is that…

At this Years 2015 ProBlogger Conference I Will……

Last year I attended my first ever ProBlogger Conference. So at this years ProBlogger Conference……. I will NOT grab Tessa from Down That Little Lane in a weird way and say you are not the person I am looking for and walk off and not say anything else. It’s highly possible Tessa doesn’t remember this encounter but I do and even though I’m an extrovert I made myself feel weird, so if she does remember this encounter and feels violated I would not be surprised. I will EMBRACE my preparation and effort in pasting a print out of the program…

Transitioning to Working at Home During School Hours…..

The start of a new school year happened today, Cohen is no longer a prep student but officially a big grade one kid. Tomorrow there are more changes taking place with Sarah starting a pre-prep program at kindy that is next door to Cohen’s school. Changes have happen in recent weeks for Fraser with him starting family day care three weeks ago. What it also means is that changes are happening for me too. Not only do I have new morning and weekly routines to implement for my brood, but these changes will allow for me to have two working…
